Welcome to Boudoir Session Facts with Andrea Liora! The first topic we’ll be covering in this little series is Nerves, as the title may have given away 😉
It’s normal to be nervous before booking your boudoir photography session. It’s normal to be anxious after you book your session and begin prepping and shopping for your glamorous photoshoot. Heck, it’s normal to be nervous as you drive to the studio the morning of your session! But – here is my promise to you – Those nerves will start to fade the moment you walk through the door. They will disappear a bit more as you sit in my hair & makeup stylist’s chair getting pampered, and they will vanish as soon as we start posing and clicking the camera shutter.
I expect my clients to be nervous leading up to their session. They’ve probably never had an actual photoshoot with pro hair and makeup, and they’ve probably never been photographed professionally in their underwear before. Trying new things and getting outside of our comfort zones is super uncomfortable! But this is where all of the good stuff happens, right? When we step out of the comfortable, we can grow. We can find this great love for ourselves we never knew was possible, and we can have a crazy fun time once we start embracing the experience.
My studio is a safe place for you to feel all of these emotions. For the short-lived neves, for the tears that may come up as you toss society’s oppressive/complicated views on women out the window, and as you find love & acceptance for yourself through your strong, beautiful, and empowered femininity.
