Boudoir portraits are a beautiful and empowering way for women to celebrate their bodies and their femininity. Yet many women are hesitant to display their boudoir portraits on their walls. When I speak with clients about this hesitancy, it’s often because they’re unsure how others will react to them hanging a boudoir portrait of themselves in their homes.
My response to this objection is a very passionate one. Enjoying your portraits by creating artwork for your home is not vain. It’s beautiful and confident! It serves as a daily reminder of your beauty on days when you need a little boost, and in my opinion, more women need to embrace this simple act of self-love and appreciation.

This particular client traveled to our San Francisco Bay Area studio for a quick boudoir session with one goal in mind – To create one of my black and white bodyscape style portraits that included a wine glass for her to use as a piece of wall art in her and her husband’s bedroom. She wanted something anonymous in nature that would make her feel beautiful and hint at their background in wine while also adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to their bedroom. Because they are also newlyweds, I wanted to highlight her stunning wedding rings by adding a little spotlight to her hand. I absolutely love how this piece came out!
