ASK US ANYTHING

Answers to your most frequently asked questions are listed below. I think you'll find it to be a pretty darn "beefy" Q&A! Should your particular quandary not be answered, don't hesitate to email us at hello@andrealiora.com

FAQ

Q: Are you vaccinated for covid-19? do you require clients to be fully vaccinated?

A: Yes! I am fully vaccinated and so are all of the hair/makeup stylists I work with. We will also continue to wear masks during all sessions.

Q: Where will my photo session take place?

A: Sessions take place in my private, all-female studio located in Oakland, CA. Because I am originally from Austin, I travel to Texas throughout the year. Any Texas availability will be announced via my email list, and typically on Instagram.

Q: Do I have to use your makeup artist and hairstylist, or can I do my own?

A: Should you decide you'd prefer to do your own hair or makeup, you are welcome to do so. However, professional hair and makeup services come complimentary with each session. Please keep in mind makeup for portrait photography is much different than the makeup you use for everyday life. It is also a way for you to relax before your shoot and feel pampered before we get into uncomfortable feeling (yet great-looking) poses.

Q: Will you use my boudoir images on the Internet?

A: I do not use your photos ANYWHERE unless you have granted us permission to do so. After your photo reveal you can decide which photos (if any) you are comfortable sharing.

Q: Who will be at the shoot? Should I bring a friend?

A: Due to Covid-19, participation is currently limited to: photographer, hair/makeup artist, and the person being photographed. We will be following all state and local guidelines to keep you and our studio team safe. We will update this section should anything change. Thank you for understanding.

Q: I need my images by a specific date. When should I book my shoot?

A: I recommend women have the date of their shoot scheduled about three months before they need finished products in hand. As soon as you’ve decided you want to go on this journey with me as your photographer, book your session.

Q: How Much SHOULD I PLAN TO INVEST?

A: Every client's product needs are unique.

Our session fee for most portrait sessions is $390. This is due upon booking to reserve your date.

Image collections include begin at $1090 and go up from there.

My clients generally invest between $1,500 -$5,000 on collections of images, albums, and wall art. You do not need to commit to a package or decide how many images you would like to purchase until your reveal. Purchase only what you love.

Q: Do you provide lingerie at the studio?

A: For sanitary reasons, I do not offer a client lingerie closet. I keep a few accessories on hand, like sheer skirts, robes, and flowing fabrics. You are not alone in selecting your outfits! Depending on what you describe feeling sexiest in, we'll discuss options together and plan your looks accordingly. I also provide all of my clients with a wardrobe guide, including an extensive list of online and in-person lingerie retailers. I curated this list with every body type and cup size in mind :)

Q: Can I choose to go nude for some of my photos?

A: Of course! In fact, I encourage adding tasteful nudes to your image collection. Doing an elegant white sheet set or choosing to go nude for one of your "outfits" can add some stunning portraits to your album collection AND save on the cost of lingerie or other wardrobe options. I will photograph exposed or partially exposed breasts and tushies, but no bare pelvic area will be visible in your images. If you're looking for something a bit more erotic, I respect what you're hoping to create, but I do not photograph in that style.

Q: I'm not comfortable being photographed nude or in my underwear. Can I still do a boudoir-type session?

A: Heck yeah! Bodysuits, sweaters that expose your shoulders, and slips are all excellent options.

In fact - black, long-sleeved bodysuits are my favorite wardrobe option for every woman!

Q: Do you photograph male or couples boudoir?

A: No. Posing men or couples together (regardless of gender) for boudoir is just not my background or specialty. Please note - We do not allow partners of boudoir clients in the studio while we are shooting; or at your reveal session. That's a firm policy.

Q: How long will my session take?

A: Sessions are approximately 4-5 hours. The first hour and a half will be dedicated to hair and makeup, with the final time dedicated to getting your supermodel on.

Q: Do you offer discounts, mini's, or group sessions?

A: I believe every woman deserves my full, undivided attention. Because of this, I do not offer group sessions. Any promotional offers, Studio Ambassador opportunities, or mini session availability will be announced via Instagram or through my monthly newsletter. Sign up below!

Q: IS THERE AN AGE REQUIREMENT FOR YOUR BOUDOIR SESSIONS?

A: Clients seeking boudoir-style images must be at least 21 years of age. All Studio Ambassadors must also meet this age requirement to be considered.
